Headshot, Phoenix AZ
Jon wanted to take some B&W headshots for his new album. He picked several locations in Phoenix. Here are a few of my favorites.

I couldn’t stop myself from having a few color pictures of his instrument.

I attended an all day workshop by Create Better Images (Award winning photographers Jennifer Bowen and Kimberly Jarman). I am so glad I attended their workshop because it completely changed how I used to shoot and post process. Nailing my exposure was something that I used to struggle, but learned some amazing tricks from these two pros. And I got to meet some wonderful people there too.
We got to shoot some pictures with some beautiful models. First we photographed a beautiful family.
After we were done shooting the beautiful family, we photographed a newly wed, fun couple. They were so photogenic and so wonderful. Look at them. Aren’t they beautiful !

Aiden was such a wonderful 1 year old. He was full of life, and loved walking and running. It was really fun working with him
This session took place at Brand Library Park playground last December. It was really cold, but the temperature didn’t stop Aiden from having fun and entertaining us.
This picture is one of my personal favorite. Look how beautiful he looks when he is tired.
Every year I made some new year’s resolutions but many times I forgot about all these. This year I have decided to share my top 10 resolutions and keep myself on track. Let’ see how it goes this year!
1. Lose 10 lbs. Yes I’ve been saying that for past 3 years but failed miserably but this year I WILL
2. Make my memoriesbyfaria official. There’s so much to do
3. Learn more about photography, business, marketing and network. Can’t believe how little I know and how much more I have to learn. My brother told me last year, “No matter how much you know sis, you never know anything!” I want to see myself as a premium wedding and portrait photographer.
4. Include more TAP criterias into my lesson plans. TAP rubric is a teacher evaluation rubric being used at my school district and it has a thousand things on it.
5. Visit Bangladesh. I haven’t been there in over 10 years. I really miss one of my great aunts.
6. Save enough for my first mac.
7. Add more to my website.
8. Reach my savings goal.
9. Start assisting weddings.
10. I will share this one only if it becomes true or else will remain a secret forever. Keep your fingers crossed!
I have to add this one last one.
11. Stay away from bullies. Yes, there are a lot of adult bullies out there.
Sparks family is one of the most successful families I’ve ever met. They are all very successful in their way, and very down to earth. We had to start late which left us with a very little amount time for the entire session, but still ended getting some great shots.

Sparks family took a gorgeous family picture in the 1990s and wanted to take a similar picture in 2010. Here it is.

Christine and Quenten make such a great couple. Their love for each other is evident in each picture. I didn’t have to ask them to pose. They made the session so much easier for me by simply enjoying each other’s company. We picked Old Town Scottsdale, AZ for this photoshoot and discovered so many beautiful spots.
Kris was the first person to respond to my portrait photography ad. Even though I was new at this, I was still being very picky. I was looking for clients that had the same vision as I did, and we all could feel comfortable working together. Words cannot describe how supportive, helpful and hospitable this family was.
We picked two different locations for this portrait session. The outdoor was in Pasadena, CA.

Baby Talie was not in such a good mood but take a look at the pictures. She still managed to take beautiful pictures because paparazzi, Faria, was there.
Last year I traveled to Nor Cal in October for a couple of days to visit my brother and sister in law. On my way back I took Hwy 1. Those of you who’ve never seen the beauty of Hwy 1, please next time take hwy 1. Even though it was raining, I couldn’t resist myself from taking photographs. Here are few of the many beautiful Monterey Bay and Carmel photographs.
